Oisterwijk OYSTERS since 1976. Our club was founded on the 29th
February 1976. As this was a leap-day, we actually celebrated our fifth
anniversary in 2001. This (really 25th-anniversary) was celebrated extensively
with a diversity of activities, mainly in the month of February.
As a result of hard work by members of the anniversary-committee, a historic
overview of past years was presented to the club board and honourable members of
our club.
This magnificent piece of work, with many pictures, can proudly be called a

The R.F.C. Oisterwijk OYSTERS is
a dynamic club with a vibrant clublife, where two seniorteams, that play in the
premier division and development division of the Nederlandse Rugby Bond (Dutch Rugby Union) play
an important role.
Furthermore there is an evenly vibrant youthdivision, with teams in the
age-categories of Turven (under 9 years of age), Benjamins (under 11), Mini's
(under 13), Cubs (under 15) and Juniors (under 17).
This coming season it
looks like we do not have a Colts-team (under 19), because most of those players
move to the Development team.
We even have Veteran players who
play the odd friendly social game. Specially for the over 35's there's our
annual tournament the "B.O.O.T." (Blue Old Oysters Trophee), also open

For every individual who would like to get acquainted with rugby, the R.F.C.
Oisterwijk OYSTERS has established an introduction period of six weeks. You can
join, free of charge, without any obligations, to get acquainted with the great
sport of RUGBY.
In this period all rules and regulations of the Dutch Rugby Union apply, such as
extra insurance ect. So do not hesitate and join us for a great evenings
training. We are convinced that you, just as we are, will become enthousiastic
for the rugbysport with all its marvelous traditions.

Youth
At the moment the Rugbyclub OYSTERS
youth-division is growing fiercely and there are young players in every
age-category. This division is lead by a very enthousiastic youth-committee.
